       JR (Janet) Hawse is a long-time  Washington State resident, living in a small community north of Seattle. Janet’s choices of subjects include Pacific Northwest scenery, wildlife, and portraiture. She is a member of the Portrait Society of America, Seattle Co-Arts, Acrylics Art, and Gallery North. Janet also is a commissioned portrait artist.   

      In the last several years Janet has worked with Venetian glass, creating beads in a process known as lampworking where glass is melted with a torch, beads are formed, decorated and then kiln fired.
